Programmable Outdoor Light Controller,
Singapore Night Festival 2022
Titled after the popular nickname of Bras Basah Complex, City of Books is a large-scale anamorphic pavement mural that features books flying into a void through a one-point 2D plane perspective.
The artist for “City of Books”, Fish Jaafar, reached out to JUNCTION Studio to design and produce an outdoor lighting control solution which could automatically toggle the UV and White LED Floodlights on and off in sequence to showcase the duality of the artwork from the use of UV fluorescent paints in the mural. It also features an automatic timer which would turn on and off the controller at specific times in the evening and night so that the artist can concentrate on the mural and interacting with participants.
